Step 7: Mount the Cam Actuated Preformer on the faceting machine. Using the round template, grind the black jade into a ¾" diameter circle. Remove from dopstick.

Step 8: Epoxy the black jade circle to the radius ground in the top of the pink opal to create the brim of the hat.
Step 9: Cut off excess pink opal below the bottom horizontal line on the face.

Step 10: Grind a 3/8" radius on the bottom of the face for the mustache.
Step 11: Using the 4" trim saw, cut off the top of the circle leaving the hat brim attached to the top of the face.

Step 12: Epoxy the opposite curved side of black jade disk to the bottom of the face to form the moustache. [Note: Carefully center the black jade disk so that equal amounts remain on the sides of the disk to be used later for the Nutcracker's hair.]
Step 13: Cut a piece of red coral at least .150" X .150" X 1/2" long and epoxy the end to a dopstick.

Step 14: Using the performer, grind the red coral into a cylinder. Check the diameter often with a caliper to sneak up on the .060" nose hole to ensure a snug fit for the nose.
